Description

Started in 2012 the garden has grown from an empty field into a series of different style gardens. From a potager based on a 14thc design to a traditional cottage garden, a jungle complete with a cave to a hobbit house which is reached via a rewilded woodland full of fairies.
The garden is a place to explore for everyone, children and adults.
We are 100% organic and because of this the gardens are also thriving with native wildlife.

Historique

Back in 2012 my husband and I began work on what was a field of maize stubble.
We have designed and built everything ourselves.
The first garden we built was the potager in 2012 followed by the cottage garden and the boules court in 2013/14, 2015 we started the jungle garden and by 2018 we were ready to build the cave. This took until 2019 to complete as there is only the two of us. We also dealt with the new woodland at this point.
In 2020 we built the Mediterranean Garden and stumpery, 2021 saw the beginning of the hobbit house which was completed in 2022. This year 2023 we have doubled the size of the Mediterranean Garden and begun work on a parterre and Italian Garden.
Future plans include a Japanese garden, a shell grotto in the stumpery and further water features.
